A jazz influence envelopes his chill out releases Poolside I, Poolside II and Poolside III.

Calima began playing chill out music in 2001 when he was first exposed to the iTunes station GrooveSalad (SOMA-FM). His immediate love for the music instigated the careful construction of his present chillout and downtempo style.

When listening at the various tracks you'll notice a chillout maturity, as some tracks have a heavy jazz or ambient influence while other tracks like Victor seem to hit the chill out mark with no external influences. Other tracks such as I Want You In My Life combine a heavy dose of chillout and ambient new age.

The bulk of Poolside I was written from 2006 to 2008 as Calima refined the music more for the Chillout audience.

Poolside II and Poolside III expands on Calima's chillout dexterity. Calima also sprinkles occasional background vocals to enhance the chillout experience as evidence by the song Search and Diving. All tracks on Poolside II and Poolside III wer written in 2009 as Calima focused on creating disparate tracks that were totally unrelated and did not fix his music to a particular style.
